Michael Caulfield
is one of the country’s
most respected BASES Accredited sport psychologists and mental skills coaches.
It is accepted that mental skills coaching is as important
as technical skills coaching at the highest level in
sport. He specialises in helping you prepare for the
highest level of competition by coaching you to fulfil your ambitions
in sport and business.
Michael
Caulfield has worked in professional sport for over
25 years. A former Chief Executive of the Jockeys Association
of Great Britain, he now works with a range of athletes
in premiership football, first class cricket, European
Tour Golf, horse racing, eventing, snooker and shooting.
Michael uses his sport psychologists' skills with athletes and teams of all levels,
including junior and amateur competitors. Mental skills
training is applicable at all levels of sport and performance
and Michael enjoys working with both professional and
amateur sportspeople.
Michael recognised the
importance of mental strength whilst working with professional
jockeys and retrained in sport science and psychology
at Brunel University from 1999- 2003 and was awarded
the best research at the International Conference of
Sport Science for his work on “Weight loss and
Psychological State among Jockeys”. He is an accomplished
sportsman and still plays competitive golf when business
commitments allow.
