Sports Psychology
Sports
Psychology is the application of practical common
sense that enhances performance. It is based on trust
and rapport built up over time between the athlete, coach
and the sport psychologist.
All elite athletes say
that the mental side of sport is as important as the technical
element, at the very highest level. For example, the difference
between the world’s leading golfers and tennis players
is small. But their can be a major difference in how these
athletes cope with victory, defeat, setbacks, loss of
form, injury and communications with coaches and the media.
Michael Caulfield’s
approach to sports psychology and coaching concentrates
on analysing success and creating the right environment
for you and your team to succeed.
